2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Toppings:

1 cup pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2025 slices of pepperoni

1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then mix until a rough dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10-12 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Step 2: Shape the Dough

Punch down the dough and divide it into two portions if making two pizzas.

Let it rest for 10-15 minutes, then stretch it into a 10-12 inch round.

Step 3: Preheat the Oven

Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it for at least 30 minutes.

Step 4: Assemble the Pizza

Place the stretched dough on a pizza peel or baking sheet.

Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.

Arrange the pepperoni slices on top.

(Optional) Sprinkle dried oregano and crushed red pepper flakes for extra flavor.

Step 5: Bake the Pizza
