Description

Soft, golden rolls filled with gooey cheese and savory pepperoni, these cheesy pepperoni rolls are the ultimate snack or appetizer. Perfect for game days, parties, or as a quick family treat, they’re simple to make and endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (for dusting)

For the Filling

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2025 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

For Topping

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a thin rectangle, about 12×8 inches.

2. Add the Filling

  • Evenly layer the pepperoni slices over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni. Add garlic powder and Italian seasoning, if desired.

3. Roll and Slice

  • Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log.
  • Use a sharp knife or dental floss to slice the log into 1-inch rolls.

4. Bake

  • Arrange the rolls cut side up on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each roll.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.

5. Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from the oven and brush again with butter. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and parsley on top.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch.

Notes

  • Dough Options: Crescent roll dough can be used as a quick alternative.
  • Cheese Variations: Try cheddar, gouda, or a blend of Italian cheeses for different flavors.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for the best texture.
