Ingredients
- 8 oz lo mein, udon, or spaghetti noodles
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional for extra umami)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook the Noodles
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
2. Make the Hibachi Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sugar, and black pepper.
- Set aside.
3. Cook the Noodles with Sauce
- Heat butter and sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss to coat in the butter mixture.
- Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well, ensuring the noodles are evenly coated.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve & Garnish
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy with hibachi-style chicken, steak, shrimp, or vegetables!
Notes
Use lo mein or udon noodles for the best texture, but spaghetti works too!
Don’t overcook the noodles – keep them slightly firm for the best stir-fry results.
Add protein or veggies like mushrooms, zucchini, or shrimp for a complete meal.
For extra flavor, drizzle with a bit of sriracha or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
