If you’re looking for a flavor-packed, crispy, and juicy dinner idea, these Garlic Parmesan Pork Chops are exactly what you need! They are coated in a delicious blend of Parmesan cheese, garlic, and crunchy breadcrumbs, making them irresistibly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Ingredients
For the Pork Chops:
4 pork chops (boneless or bone-in, about 1-inch thick)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
For the Garlic Parmesan Coating:
½ cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for low-carb)
2 large eggs, beaten
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¾ cup panko breadcrumbs (or crushed pork rinds for keto)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for frying)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Pork Chops
- Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel to help the coating stick better.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Step 2: Prepare the Coating
- In three separate bowls, set up your coating station:
- Bowl 1: Add flour, salt, and pepper.
- Bowl 2: Whisk eggs until smooth.
- Bowl 3: Mix Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
Step 3: Coat the Pork Chops
- Dredge each pork chop in flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
Step 4: Choose Your Cooking Method
Pan-Frying (Best for Crispiness)
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Baking (Healthier Alternative)
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place coated pork chops on a greased baking sheet.
- Lightly spray the tops with oil and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
Air Frying (Quickest & Crispiest)
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Notes
Use thick-cut pork chops (1-inch or more) to keep them juicy.
Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes after cooking to lock in moisture.
For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular.
Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying—cook in batches if needed.
For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning.
