Ingredients
Scale
- For the Pizza Rolls
- 1 package of pizza dough (or 20 wonton wrappers)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 20 slices of pepperoni (or other toppings like cooked sausage or veggies)
- For the Doritos Coating
- 1 cup crushed Doritos (choose your favorite flavor like Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for coating)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- If using wonton wrappers, keep them covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying out.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into small squares (or use wonton wrappers).
- Place 1 teaspoon of marinara sauce in the center of each square.
- Add a pinch of shredded mozzarella and one piece of pepperoni or your desired filling.
- Seal the Rolls:
- Fold the dough or wrapper over the filling to create a sealed pocket. Pinch the edges firmly or use a fork to crimp them shut.
- Coat with Doritos Crumbs:
- Crush the Doritos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- Brush each roll lightly with melted butter, then roll them in the crushed Doritos to coat evenly.
- Bake the Rolls:
- Arrange the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve:
- Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Pair them with dipping sauces like ranch, marinara, or spicy sriracha.
Notes
- For extra crunch, use an air fryer instead of baking. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes.
- Experiment with flavors by using different types of Doritos, such as Flamin’ Hot or Spicy Sweet Chili.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
