Description
Cool Whip candy is a simple, no-bake treat combining creamy Cool Whip, rich chocolate, and customizable toppings. Perfect for holidays, parties, or a quick dessert fix!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tub (8 oz) of Cool Whip (or non-dairy whipped topping)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or white/dark chocolate)
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or other flavorings)
- Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, crushed cookies, or peppermint candies
Instructions
- Prepare Your Workspace: Gather your ingredients and line a square baking pan with parchment paper. This will make removing the candy easier later.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 20-second intervals, stirring each time, until fully melted. Be careful not to overheat.
- Mix Ingredients: Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract to the melted chocolate. Stir well until the mixture is smooth.
- Incorporate Cool Whip: Gently fold the Cool Whip into the mixture. Avoid overmixing to preserve the light, airy texture.
- Pour and Chill: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Add your favorite toppings if desired. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2–3 hours or until firm.
- Cut and Serve: Once set, remove the candy from the pan and cut it into squares or desired shapes. Serve immediately or store for later.
Notes
- Substitutions: Use sugar-free chocolate and low-fat Cool Whip for a healthier version.
- Freezing Tips: Freeze leftover candy in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
- Creative Flavors: Experiment with mint, almond, or orange extracts to switch up the flavors.
