  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped

Instructions

1. Make the Chocolate Cake Layers

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in the hot coffee until fully combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the cake pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely before assembling.

2. Prepare the Orange Cheesecake Filling

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add orange zest, juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, until set.
  6. Cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

3. Assemble the Cake
