Description

Say hello to your new favorite dessert—Banana Split Fruit Pizza! This vibrant treat combines everything you love about a banana split, but with a creative and easy-to-serve twist. A soft, chewy cookie crust is topped with a fluffy cream cheese spread, then layered with fresh bananas, strawberries, pineapples, and cherries.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

1 package of refrigerated sugar cookie dough (or homemade equivalent)

1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

For the Cream Cheese Topping:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup granulated sugar or honey

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup whipped topping or Greek yogurt (optional for lighter version)

For the Fruit Toppings:

2 ripe bananas, sliced

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)

1/2 cup blueberries (optional)

Maraschino cherries (for garnish)

Optional Toppings:

Chocolate syrup or hot fudge

Chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or peanuts)

Rainbow sprinkles

Coconut flakes

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Press the sugar cookie dough evenly into a greased or parchment-lined round pizza pan or baking sheet.

Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.

Make the Cream Cheese Layer:

In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

Fold in whipped topping or yogurt if using for a fluffier texture.

Assemble the Pizza:

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust.

Arrange the sliced fruits decoratively over the top.

Add Final Toppings:

Drizzle with chocolate syrup, sprinkle with nuts or sprinkles, and top each slice with a cherry.

Chill and Serve:

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.

Slice and serve cold.

Notes

Prevent Banana Browning: Toss banana slices with a little lemon juice to keep them from browning.

Make it Healthier: Use a whole wheat cookie crust, Greek yogurt topping, and skip sugary toppings.

Go Creative: Add your favorite seasonal fruits or drizzle with caramel for a twist.

Make-Ahead Friendly: Bake the crust and prep the topping the day before. Assemble the fruit layer just before serving for freshness.

Kid-Friendly Tip: Let kids decorate their own mini fruit pizzas with fun shapes and colorful toppings!
