  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Optional Add-ins:

  • ¼ tsp red chili flakes (for spice)
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced

Instructions

1. Cook the Bacon

  • Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the chopped bacon until crispy.
  • Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

2. Cook the Pasta

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente.
  • Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.

3. Make the Creamy Sauce

  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Add heavy cream and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.

4. Combine Everything

  • Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce.
  • Add bacon and mix well.
  • If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water.

5. Serve and Enjoy!

  • Garnish with extra parmesan and serve immediately.

Notes

Use thick-cut bacon for a better texture.
Don’t overcook pasta—keep it al dente.
Add pasta water gradually to get the perfect sauce consistency.
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor.
