- Stir in crumbled bacon and diced jalapenos until well mixed.
2. Assemble the Egg Rolls
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
- Place 1-2 tablespoons of filling in the center.
- Fold the bottom corner up, then fold the sides inward.
- Roll tightly and seal the edge with a dab of water.
3. Cooking Methods
Frying (Extra Crispy):
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry egg rolls in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel.
Baking (Healthier Option):
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place egg rolls on a baking sheet and brush with oil.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Notes
Seal properly – Use water or a cornstarch slurry to prevent opening while frying.
Don’t overfill – Too much filling can cause them to burst.
Cook at the right temperature – Too hot burns them; too low makes them oily.
Use an air fryer – For a crispy texture without excess oil, air-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes.
